Outstanding Tiny Desk AI

Updated 2026-10-30

"Outstanding" is the Gap Band song in the viral Tiny Desk AI clips. Here you get a desk concert with an AI-original song, plus a silent copy if you'd rather add the real one on TikTok.

Why everyone says "Outstanding"

According to write-ups of the trend, the original parody was built on Charlie Wilson's Tiny Desk performance of "Outstanding", the Gap Band's 1982 song, which he sang to close his concert in 2023. That's why you'll see "Outstanding Tiny Desk" and "Outstanding Tiny Desk AI" used for the same meme.

What you get here

A 10-second desk concert with you or your pet as the lead character, with original AI-generated vocals and music. It's not the original recording and not a voice clone: the words and melody are new, and the chorus lands on the word "outstanding". You also get the same video with no sound.

How to get the Outstanding sound on TikTok

Make your video and download the silent version. In TikTok, upload it, tap Add sound and search for Outstanding. The mouth movements follow our song, so they won't match the words exactly. That's part of the fun with a cat on vocals.
